Hey party people oaf12 here and welcome to The Man Den!

If you haven’t read part 1, you can check it out here.

Sorry it’s taken me so long to get part 2 out but I have had loads on and hope you have enjoyed the other blogs anyway :) speaking of which I didn’t realise I didn’t get a blog up last week so apologies – was hoping to do at least one a week this year but hey it was my sons birthday so I’m sure you can forgive me.

Stag Do Review

So, back to it, after a few hours sleep (we ended up separated into two or three groups and got back at different times) we got up and got ready for the day ahead. We all woke up at different times so headed for breakfast at different times in different places (most to the local cuisine of  McDonald’s lol).

A few of us ended up in the snazzy ‘Scotland Yard’ bar literally right outside the hostel. This was actually one of the coolest bars bars ever and had funky things like electric chairs, prison cell looking toilets, uniformed policemen as doormen, a fish tank and Blues Brothers statues. After a spot of lunch at the bar (good food btw) we headed for our next activity.

The party bus (including our guide) picked us up and we headed for the local shooting range. On the way we noticed some beer in the bus but upon asking to buy some were reminded that we were about to shoot real guns – good point!! We waited until the way back.

Being as we were shooting, the Stag was dressed in a camouflage onsie, with an Arsenal shirt (he supports Man Utd whereas most of the group were Gooners) and a pink cowgirl hat.

Upon arriving at the range we were given a security and safety briefing from one of the instructors (his Russian style accent made it all the more real and actually quite scary). He then went on to talk to us about each gun and letting us know what was included in our package.

Ride em' cow girl

As standard we got to shoot (numbers may be wrong, it’s been a while) 10 rounds of a Glock, 5 rounds of a Magnum, 5 Shotgun shells and 10 rounds from an AK47. A few of us paid extra (prices not bad at all, about €30 in total) to upgrade to a full magazine for the AK47, shooting a Desert Eagle (wow!!) and a silenced Sniper Rifle (so quiet you have no idea, it was low calibre but can’t remember the model).

The funny thing about the sniper rifle was that we had all removed our goggles and ear muffs and had a few pictures before I asked if we could shoot it. When the instructor said yes we all rushed and put our goggles and sound protecting ear muffs back on, only for our instructor to give us a confused look and emphasise the word ‘silenced’ – no need for ear muffs lol

The shooting was a serious but amazing experience and the group agreed it was definitely  the highlight of the trip. Forgive my terrible language but I feel the need to tell you that one of the group even uttered the words (referring to his obviously better half) “I would love to stick a gun in her mouth while I ****** her” I know you may find this worrying, so think how we felt locked in a room while he held loaded weapons!

We then headed back on the partaaay bus, had a few beers as then headed into the town to watch some footy at the bar we played pool in the night before. The stag had the last laugh as he got to watch Utd beat the Arsenal :(

By the time our evening meal came round (meal with strippers was the next activity) a few of us were rather smashed. We were welcomed to the restaurant with the most revolting shot I have ever tasted (I literally had to go and puke a bit later but I was OK as it meant I got to taste my wonderful starter twice haha). We were then lead to a private basement area and given some beer.

Without warning we were then joined by two stunning girls who mistakenly started ‘performing’ for one of the group members (who was too drunk to realise what was going on) as they thought he was the stag…..obviously the stag being sat dead centre of the group and now dressed as a monkey was not enough of a giveaway???? lol

So the upon realising they changed tact and the stag spent yet more time with no clothes on! The greatest part of the whole evening was when the strippers smashed not just their heads (once each) but also the stags head (so three separate occasions) against a shelf where the stag was sat, one of the group was crying with laughter.

So, after being encouraged to eat strawberries & cream off the girls, we headed upstairs for our three course meal and various steins of beer.

Beer!

We spent another night in the local bars (more karaoke – albinorob rocked the joint with Enter the Sandman) before gaining VIP entry to a local nightclub. They ummed & ahhed about letting a monkey in, and some of us were in trainers, but we got in and had our own VIP area including a bay host to fetch our drinks.

The father of the stag stole the show again before we all headed back at some crazy hour (after separating again) for whatever sleep we could.

The next day we bought gifts, spent more time (and ate) at the Scotland Yard pub before heading home via Norway (the most expensive place EVER!!).

Scotland Yard

All in all a damn good trip and I would be happy to recommend Tallinn to anyone planning a celebration of their best friends ‘last night of freedom’.

As always, if you have any questions just drop us a line.

Cheers all

oaf out
